The Fluffy Pets Taking the Internet by Storm

Pet influencers

Earlier this month Influencer Champions were thrilled to have been featured in the Daily Mail commenting on the rise of pet influencers. So, following on from this we have created a blog post about social media’s favourite fluffy friends…

Who says social media influencers only come in the form of humans? From cute and fluffy to hilariously animated animals, pet influencers are on the rise.

While they may not be able to tell you their top beauty picks or review the latest product on the market, they are storming the internet, but why?

After stressful days at work or simply just to make them laugh, people everywhere now reach for their Instagram, Facebook or Twitter accounts to find amusing pictures or videos. This is where pet influencers come in. Capitalising on people’s interests in all things fluffy, turning your pet into a social media influencer is not only funny, but is also a pretty smart move as it rakes in followers and gains media coverage for both you and your pet!

1. @JiffPom – 6.8 Million Instagram Followers

Our number one pet influencer is JiffPom, the Pomeranian dog who is so popular that on August 20th, 2014 had a day named after him! Starting up as a cute dog Instagram account, JiffPom is now famously known for having his social media full of him posing with celebrities from the likes of Shawn Mendes, Katy Perry and Ashley Benson!

2. @RealGrumpyCat -  2.4 Million Instagram Followers

Our second top pet influencer is Grumpy Cat who started with a simple snap of a grumpy looking cat being made into a meme. Grumpy Cat has now developed into a worldwide brand with merchandise galore and an unbelievable 1.32 million followers on Twitter and 2.4 million on Instagram!

3. @TunaMeltsMyHeart- 1.9 Million Instagram Followers

With his biggest fan being none other than Reese Witherspoon herself, everyone should be following our third top pick, Tuna the ‘Chinweenie’. With over 1.9 million followers on Instagram, Tuna is truly melting hearts with his adorable pictures.

There’s no doubt that pet influencers are now taking the online world by storm and this post names only a few, so why not get involved?
